This is my first "blog" post. First off, I don't like the word "blog". I would prefer to call this a journal about my thoughts, feelings and ultimately, about my life. The word "blog" reminds me too much about watching and listening to the teacher in the Charlie Brown animated series...
Blah, blah, blah can easily be translated to blog, blog, blog. Many blogs can encourage that kind of boredom and tiredness. This one is likely no different. However, sharing my thoughts and quotations of others might be relatable to a few people out there and these thoughts and feelings are directly associated with the images that are published on this site.
Taking pictures, post-processing of those images are a reflection of the world as I see it. The beauty of nature is what inspired me to photography. Capturing a slice of time is about slowing our busy lives in order to take a moment and look at it with full attention. What does it mean to you? Photography is about slowing everything down and holding that moment in your hand and in your mind. There will be no other moment like this one.
So, this blog will be about photography and the post processing of images in the digital age. But it will also be about philosophical and spiritual issues that have intersected with my own pilgrimage through life.
Welcome to my site. I plan to change and update my Galleries section on a regular basis so there will be new content for people to view . I've discontinued my publications on social media. There has been too much controversy about social media and the implications pertaining to the promotion of false and misleading information in order to encourage more "clicks". I don't want to support such platforms. So, here is my blog. If no one ever reads it, that is fine too. Then it will just be my own private journal.
